September 2009 Wisconsin Music News

ac-dcFor those of you who were about to rock to AC/DC,, at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee on Wednesday, October 14, unfortunately you will have to wait a little longer. On September 25, the band announced that vocalist Brian Johnson will be undergoing a minor medical procedure and has been ordered to rest for a couple of weeks. Which means six confirmed dates, including Milwaukee, has been postponed. AC/DC launched their Black Ice tour in November 2008, and have not yet stopped in Wisconsin, making the news that much harder for their diehard fans. The tour will resume on October 16 in Washington, D.C. and continue through the spring of next year. Johnson has been quoted as saying that he plans on retiring after they wrap up this tour, which has prompted a flurry of questions asking if he was sincere. In my opinion, he could very well intend on retiring at the end of this tour, but I do know that Malcolm is already planning some outdoor festival dates for next summer. So it remains to be seen how soon AC/DC’s rock and roll train will truly come to a complete stop. Until then, we can look forward to a rescheduled date here in Wisconsin. And if you haven’t already bought tickets, don’t miss your chance to see one of the best rock and roll bands in the world! I can guarantee you; their show is worth every penny.
