A new year means new music, and 2013 is shaping up nicely for fans of Madison’s industrial, powernoise gurus, Caustic. Additionally, Caustic creator and conceptual genius Matt Fanale has plans for other releases and reisuues with his other projects.

In the next year Fanale will release live experimental sets from 2006 with ENDIF and a CTRLSHFT set from 2009. The 2009 set done with CTRLSHFT (under the guise of CTRLSTIC) will be out February 19th as a limited edition CDR — only 100 will be made.  Fanale describes it as, “63 minutes of weird, creepy awesome.”

A live collaboration with ENDIF/CTRLSHFT/CAUSTIC under the nom de noise Mutation will be out a few months later in the same format.

Yet another collaboration entitled Prude, which features Chemlab’s Jared Louche, former Ministry engineer Howie Beno, Infocollapse’s Phil DiSienna and Plastic Heroes’ Marc Plastic, is also nearing completion.

Fanale will also release the last six tracks from Caustic’s 2012 release The Man Who Couldn’t Stop as an EP, perhaps on Philadelphia-based Metropolis records. Fans should keep an eye out for a Kickstarter campaign to finance the “production/mastering/art/meth” for its completion.
