Sexy Ester and the Pretty Mama Sisters CD Release Party is 9/24
Press Release for New Sexy Ester CD:
SEXY ESTER IS GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL!
Slothtrop Music is pleased to announce the latest release from award winning band Sexy Ester, Sequins, Sin and Appetite. While the first single “Glitter Baby” is already receiving radio airplay across the country, there will be a CD release show at 9pm on Saturday September 24th at The Frequency in Madison.
“After winning four Madison Area Music Awards,” says Slothtrop Music owner Eric Hester, “we’ve seen sales from their first CD Hubba Bubba skyrocket and with all the national and regional airplay “Glitter Baby” has already received we’re expecting this to a very big year for Sexy Ester!”
Trading the Brat Pack fun of Shermer, Illinois for the Rat Pack hedonism
of a Las Vegas imbued with the dark corners, dirty streets, and glaring neon of Sin City, Sequins, Sin and Appetite is a late-night roll of the dice that always comes up a winner. From the coin spilling guitar riffs of “Fever Las Vegas” to the late night meditations of “Mr. Moon” Sexy Ester show they are all grown up and ready to take everything the bright lights have to offer.
Fronted by the incredibly charismatic Lyndsay Evans, and ably backed by
Adam Edar on guitar, Dusty Hay on drums, Brad Schubert on bass, and Roscoe Evans on keyboards, Sexy Ester is no flash in the pan. They’ve already payed a lot of dues slugging it out in the smaller clubs and dives all
over the Midwest. That workman like attitude has really paid off when early this year they were awarded four Madison Area Music Awards including
Best Alternative Band & Album. With Sequins, Sin and Appetite fast
becoming a staple of college radio the venues are getting bigger and
bigger. With a major tour planned for later this year, Sexy Ester & the
Pretty Mama Sisters have us betting on them to win!
The CD release show will begin at 9pm on Saturday September 24, 2011 at
The Frequency, 121 W Main St in Madison, WI. The cover will be $5 and will
also feature the amazing talents of Madison bands The Choons, Baristacide,
and Anna Wang and the Oh Boys.
